HollyXmas trust & transparency
Editorial Policy
Purpose
HollyXmas publishes original, practical Christmas craft and decorating content for makers, families, teachers, holiday decorators, and creative businesses. Our goal is to help readers understand a project, make informed choices, and complete ordinary craft work more safely.
Originality and usefulness
Articles are developed from a fresh outline around the title’s actual reader intent. We avoid mechanically rephrased source copy, generic seasonal filler, fabricated experience, and invented quotations. Tutorial paragraphs should answer concrete questions about materials, dimensions, quantity, sequence, timing, safety, troubleshooting, use, care, or storage.
Tutorial standards
DIY and decoration tutorials should provide enough operational detail for an informed reader to complete the project. Measurements and quantities must agree with the steps. Safety and supervision notes are included when blades, needles, heat, fire, small parts, mounting hardware, allergens, or children are relevant. Readers must still follow product instructions and assess their own setting.
Historical and cultural claims
Tradition articles distinguish documented evidence, family testimony, broad regional descriptions, and modern interpretation. Museums, libraries, archives, educational institutions, and primary sources are preferred for claims about origin, date, place, or cultural practice. A modern reconstruction or generated editorial image is not historical proof.
Images and downloads
Images should match the visible project and use meaningful alternative text. Process images should clarify a step rather than repeat the cover. Downloads are described as available only after their files, page sizes, print scale, and permitted uses have been verified.
Advertising and independence
HollyXmas may display Google AdSense advertising. Advertisers do not approve articles or purchase favorable conclusions. Advertising placement should be distinguishable from editorial content. HollyXmas does not currently use affiliate links; if affiliate, sponsorship, review-sample, or other material relationships are introduced, they will be disclosed where relevant.
Corrections and updates
Material errors should be corrected rather than silently preserved. Updates may address inaccurate facts, unsafe or unclear instructions, broken resources, changed services, or improved sources. Correction requests may be sent to Contact@hollyxmas.com.
Authorship and review
Keli Lin is the editorial pen name used by the HollyXmas editor-in-chief and Christmas content writer. The byline identifies editorial responsibility for selecting, writing, editing, checking source-supported claims, and maintaining corrections. It is not a claim that every project was physically tested. Source review and internal-consistency checks are described accurately; HollyXmas does not invent testing, interviews, visits, qualifications, or other first-hand experience.
Scope
HollyXmas is an editorial craft website, not a licensed engineering, electrical, fire-safety, medical, legal, or educational authority. Readers must follow manufacturer directions, local rules, school policies, and qualified professional advice where applicable.
